"45 Broken Birds is a selection of dark electronics taken from each of lsfp's three mp3.com releases circa 2001. Each album is represented by four tracks that not only best portrays them but also best defines lsfp as a continuing musical entity. The music composed during lsfp's mp3.com tenure fed off multiple influences and was often subject to musically polarizing whims. While Broken Crosses and Dead Birds were relatively cohesive, 1939 to 1945 suffered from overall inconsistency. To say the mp3.com years were generally weak and a product of naïveté would be accurate, however these three albums helped lay the groundwork for what would become lsfp's unique slant on the neo-classical sound."
